Kairi Sane Ends WWE Non‑Compete, Becomes Free Agent
Former WWE wrestler Kairi Sane, 37, has officially entered free agency after her 90‑day non‑compete clause expired. She posted a photo beside a motorcycle with the caption, “How far I’ll go… See you soon,” hinting at her next move.
Sane was released by WWE in April during roster cuts that followed WrestleMania. Industry reports noted that WWE believed she intended to return to Japan, a factor in the decision to cut her. Throughout her career she won the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017, held the NXT Women’s Championship, two WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with Asuka, and was a former World of Stardom Champion. No new contract has been announced, but her social‑media message suggests a new chapter may appear soon.
