Kairi Sane in discussions with AEW following WWE release

Former WWE star Kairi Sane is reportedly in discussions with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) regarding a potential contract. While negotiations have taken place, no official agreement has been signed.

Sane, a former NXT Women’s Champion and multi-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, became a free agent following her release from WWE in April. She expressed shock at her departure, noting it occurred while she was in the middle of an active storyline with Asuka and IYO SKY.

Reports indicate that several international promotions have expressed interest in the veteran wrestler. However, it is noted that she is not expected to join the Japanese promotion Marigold. Speculation regarding her move to AEW has been fueled by her representation by agent Barry Bloom, who manages several prominent AEW talents, and recent social media activity.

Despite fan anticipation, Sane was not factored into the booking plans for AEW’s All In event in London.
