KAI's Mediska Clinics Serve Over 8,300 Patients in West Sumatra H1 2026

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) reported that its Mediska health clinics in West Sumatra served a total of 8,341 patients during the first half of 2026. The Padang clinic accounted for 7,885 users while the Lubuk Alung clinic recorded 456 users. Both facilities hold full Paripurna accreditation.

At the Padang clinic, 3,550 patients were covered by the National Health Insurance (BPJS) program and 3,752 residents designated it as their primary health centre (FKTP). The Lubuk Alung clinic is still finalising a partnership with BPJS to expand coverage. Compared with 2025, when the two clinics together served 16,037 patients, the figures indicate a stable demand for KAI‑provided health services. Reza Shahab, head of KAI’s Divre II Sumatra Barat public relations, said the clinics aim to deliver professional, fast and quality care to workers, their families and the general public.
