Kaiser Reef identifies gold resource in Victorian mine tailings

Kaiser Reef Limited has identified an initial inferred mineral resource within the historical tailings at its A1 gold mine in Victoria, Australia. The stockpile is estimated to contain 77,427 tonnes of material grading 1.25 grams per tonne of gold, representing approximately 3,100 ounces of contained gold. This resource was defined following a 28-hole air-core drilling program.

The company plans to transport the tailings to its Porcupine Flats processing plant in Maldon, which has an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes. Metallurgical testing has indicated gold recovery rates exceeding 80 per cent. This initiative is intended to supplement the low-grade ore currently being processed at the facility.

In addition to the tailings project, Kaiser Reef is conducting exploration at its Maldon North prospect, where a soil survey recently identified an 850-metre-long gold trend. The company is also executing a 4,350-metre surface drilling program across four targets. As of June 30, Kaiser Reef reported $37.2 million in cash and bullion.
