German police report a series of assaults, threats and traffic accidents

The Federal Police recorded several distinct incidents across Germany on 14‑15 July. In Hamburg a 38‑year‑old railway employee was assaulted at the Neugraben S‑station after trying to calm an angry passenger; the attacker fled and is being sought. In Ruhpolding (Bavaria) a 28‑year‑old man threatened a train conductor and passengers with a knife, injuring three children before being arrested. Berlin police detained two men (a Russian and a Ukrainian) caught spraying graffiti on a S‑train.

Separate traffic collisions also occurred. A 41‑year‑old cyclist in the Wartburgkreis hit a parked truck and was suspected of alcohol use. A 16‑year‑old on an e‑scooter was seriously injured in Dortmund after being hit by a car. Other accidents involved a drunken truck driver hitting a gas container in Kitzingen, a 7‑year‑old struck by a digger in Kassel, a 13‑year‑old child hit by a transport vehicle in Thuringia, and multiple bicycle‑car crashes in various towns. Police investigations and victim assistance were launched in each case.
