German towns launch road, bike path and green‑space projects in Hausen, Erzhütten and Aichach

In the villages of Hausen and Kleinbrach, construction has begun on the renovation of the "In der Au" road and a new pedestrian and bicycle path. The works, linked to future bridge and flood‑protection measures, will also raise the route away from the Saale and are scheduled for completion in spring 2027.

In the Erzhütten/Wiesenthalerhof district of Kaiserslautern, work started on 6 July 2026 to de‑seal the area in front of a primary school, create a new green space, fully renew the Mühlbergstraße, replace existing bus stops and add barrier‑free crossing points. Traffic and pedestrians are being managed by temporary signals, and the entire programme is expected to last about twelve weeks.

In Aichach, the second construction phase of the Schulstraße project is under way. Access to the parking area is being rerouted, the Schulstraße entrance is closed, and local bus services are diverted. The upgrades include new sidewalks, LED street lighting, and planted green areas, with the works planned to continue until the end of the year and further extension to Plattenberg scheduled for 2027.
