Kaiserslautern police investigate assault at station forecourt

Police in Kaiserslautern are investigating an assault that occurred near the station forecourt around midnight. According to reports, three youths or young adults confronted and attacked two 18-year-old men. One of the victims sustained minor facial injuries from multiple punches and kicks but did not require hospital treatment.

Following the incident, the suspects fled toward Glockenstraße. Officers located three individuals matching the description and attempted to detain them. Two 18-year-old suspects, who were under the influence of alcohol, were apprehended and taken into custody. A third suspect managed to escape and remains at large. Authorities have collected blood samples for investigation into dangerous bodily harm and are seeking witnesses to clarify the motives behind the attack.
