Kaiserslautern Pride event sees significant growth in 2026

The CSD Lautre Pride event in Kaiserslautern saw significant growth in 2026, with at least 2,500 participants joining the demonstration through the city center. This marks a nearly threefold increase from the previous year, which saw approximately 900 attendees.

The event included a demonstration route through the city and a program at Schillerplatz featuring music, political discussions, and community offerings. A second venue, the Fruchthalle, hosted a literary festival titled ‘Buch, Wort & Lautern’. Local political groups, including the Greens and the SPD, participated in the march to advocate for queer visibility and equal rights.

Following the event, Green Party leaders Carolin Cloos and Christin Sauer emphasized that while the Pride season in Rhineland-Palatinate has concluded, their commitment to supporting the queer community and fighting against discrimination remains ongoing. Police reported that the event proceeded without incident.
