Kaisey Bloom faces court over alleged knife threat in Bendigo

In a Bendigo magistrates court, advocates expressed concerns for the safety of Kaisey Bloom, a transgender woman currently held on remand. Bloom faces charges of threatening to inflict serious injury with a controlled weapon following an alleged confrontation on Barnard Street.

According to court testimony, Bloom allegedly threatened a tradesperson with a small flip knife and struck a vehicle with a metal pole. Defense lawyers highlighted that Bloom experienced a 17-day interruption to her hormone replacement therapy while in custody. A bail application is scheduled for October 12.
