Greek actress Kaiti Finou has addressed recent social media criticism regarding her residence at the ‘Actor’s House’ and her previous comments about the development in Elliniko.

Finou clarified that her stay at the Actor’s House is a matter of financial necessity rather than comfort. She explained that due to a lack of television roles, her income from theater performances is insufficient to cover basic living expenses, including rent and utilities. She also refuted claims that she receives government subsidies or earns significant income from TikTok.

Additionally, the actress addressed backlash following a video in which she used the phrase ‘I am ashamed to be Greek’ while commenting on a skyscraper construction project in Elliniko. She stated the remark was an expression of frustration regarding specific societal issues and not a rejection of her national identity.
