Kaiti Garbi and Dionysis Schinas ordered to pay 100,000 euros

The Athens Court of Appeal has ruled against singers Kaiti Garbi and Dionysis Schinas, ordering them to return advance payments totaling 60,000 euros to businessman Giannis Tsakoumakos. The dispute originated from a business agreement made prior to the pandemic for musical performances at a nightclub that were never realized.

According to the court decision, Schinas is required to pay 40,000 euros and Garbi 20,000 euros, plus legal interest. The court overturned a previous lower court ruling, stating the artists failed to prove a legal basis for retaining the funds. Following the decision, authorities imposed a freeze on the artists' bank accounts and a conservatory seizure of tickets for their upcoming concert at Katrakeio, which has reportedly been rescheduled.

Including legal costs and interest, the total amount to be paid to the businessman is estimated to reach approximately 100,000 euros.
