Kaitlin Quevedo wins first WTA title in São Paulo

Spanish tennis player Kaitlin Quevedo has secured her first career WTA title by winning the WTA 250 tournament in São Paulo. The 20-year-old overcame Argentina's Nadia Podoroska in a final that lasted over two hours, winning 4-6, 6-4, and 6-2 after the match was delayed by rain.

This victory marks Quevedo as the 20th Spanish woman to win a top-level individual WTA trophy. The win has resulted in a significant jump in her world ranking, moving her from 105th to 75th.

Following her triumph in Brazil, Quevedo will travel to China to join the Spanish national team for the Billie Jean King Cup preparations in Shenzhen. Spain is scheduled to compete in the quarterfinals against Kazakhstan.
