Model Lisa Watanabe and Hiroshima Toyo Carp infielder Kaito Kozono announced their divorce via Instagram stories on the 31st. Both parties confirmed the separation through social media posts.

Watanabe stated that she would not disclose the reasons or circumstances leading to the divorce and requested privacy regarding future comments about Kozono. She noted that their children will be living with her. Kozono also announced the divorce, stating he would refrain from discussing the details and asked for continued support.

The couple originally announced their marriage in January 2021. Kozono, a professional baseball player, has appeared in 101 games this season with a .257 batting average.
