Kaizer Chiefs face injury crisis ahead of Stellenbosch FC match

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz faces significant squad challenges ahead of their Betway Premiership match against Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium. The team is currently dealing with a series of injuries to key players, including goalkeeper Brandon Petersen, who is undergoing individual training for a knee injury, and playmaker Lebohang Maboe, who is sidelined with an injury.

In addition to Maboe, the squad is missing midfielders Siphesihle Ndlovu and Adolf Mutasingwa. Da Cruz has noted that while the team has demonstrated quality in their play, a lack of efficiency in front of the goal has hindered their recent results. The club has drawn four of its last five league matches and currently sits fourth in the standings.

Despite the injury setbacks, some players are returning to training, including striker Flavio Silva and Khanyisa Mayo. The club is also preparing for upcoming CAF Confederation Cup fixtures against Zambia’s Red Arrows.
