Kaizer Chiefs face injury setbacks for Petersen and Duba

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed a double injury setback involving key players Brandon Petersen and Wandile Duba.

Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen sustained an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during a training session on Tuesday morning. The 32-year-old, who has played in every match since the season began in August, is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks for rehabilitation. The club may look to Renaldo Leaner or Bruce Bvuma as potential replacements in goal.

Additionally, attacker Wandile Duba has been ruled out for approximately two weeks due to a hip and groin injury. Duba, who has scored three goals this season, will be monitored closely by the medical team as they determine the next steps for his recovery.
