Kaizer Chiefs management and coaching updates

Bobby Motaung has addressed his evolving role within the Kaizer Chiefs management structure. Formerly the club’s Football Manager responsible for operations and signings, Motaung stated he now occupies a support role, focusing on providing experience to the new generation while respecting the club’s legacy.

Motaung noted that the club has transitioned toward more modern, structural approaches to football, including the use of scouting structures, sport science, and data analysis. He emphasized that decision-making processes have changed, moving away from individual recommendations toward more technical and technological methods.

In player development news, midfielder Mfundo Vilakazi discussed the influence of head coach Fernando Da Cruz. Vilakazi noted that the coach is working to balance his creative playing style with tactical discipline, helping the young player develop a more mature approach to his responsibilities on the pitch.
