Kaizer Chiefs reaffirm support for coach Fernando da Cruz

Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has issued an official statement reaffirming the club’s full support for head coach Fernando da Cruz and his technical team. This decision comes following the club’s elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup after a penalty shootout loss to Zambian side Red Arrows, which left the aggregate score tied at 1-1.

Despite the exit from continental competition and recent struggles in the Betway Premiership and MTN8 Cup, management emphasized their commitment to the current football philosophy and development pathway. Motaung Jr noted that while the club shares the disappointment felt by supporters and stakeholders, they remain confident that the current coaching setup will lead to sustainable success through patience and resilience.
