Malaysia reports multiple fatal accidents and industrial fire

Several fatal and serious accidents and an industrial fire have been reported across Malaysia.

In Bintangor, a 65-year-old pillion passenger died and a 30-year-old rider was seriously injured after their motorcycle struck the rear of a parked four-wheel-drive vehicle on Jalan KJD. Police are investigating the incident under the Road Transport Act 1987, with the rider undergoing alcohol and drug testing.

In Gua Musang, a trailer driver died after his vehicle plunged into a 20-meter deep ravine on the Gua Musang-Kuala Krai road. The accident was discovered by Telekom Malaysia staff repairing cables.

A massive multi-vehicle collision involving 11 vehicles occurred on the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1) near Temerloh, resulting in four deaths and four injuries. The crash included an express bus, a tanker truck, and several passenger cars.

Additionally, a fire broke out at nine factory lots in Bercham, Ipoh, causing a 42-year-old man to suffer burns. Firefighters managed to control the blaze, which primarily affected a plastic factory.
