Kakao Pay Securities launches stock trading service on KakaoBank app

Kakao Pay Securities has launched a stock trading service within the KakaoBank application through a new partnership. Starting from the 4th of the month, users can trade domestic and international stocks, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), and Exchange Traded Notes (ETNs) directly within the KakaoBank app without needing to switch applications.

The service includes features such as real-time charts, order books, interest group management, and a community forum for investor discussions. It also offers a ‘stock gathering’ function that allows for automated periodic purchases. To use the service, customers must link their Kakao Pay Securities account with their KakaoBank account; those without a securities account can open one sequentially within the app.

Shin Ho-cheol, CEO of Kakao Pay Securities, stated that the company aims to create a seamless flow where payments, transfers, deposits, and investments are integrated, helping users easily understand investment information and tailor their experiences to their specific goals.
