Kaïl Boudache commits international future to Algeria
Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Kaïl Boudache has officially committed his international future to the Algerian national team. The 20-year-old talent confirmed his decision in an interview with Le Progrès, stating that his choice remains Algeria even if Zinédine Zidane were to call him up for the French national team.
Boudache, who recently signed a long-term contract with Lyon through June 2031, cited his family roots in Kabylie as a primary reason for his decision. He expressed that his professional ambitions include competing in the Champions League and representing Algeria in the FIFA World Cup.
The young player had previously been called up to the Algeria U23 squad in June but was forced to withdraw due to injury. His formal commitment to the Algerian football authorities marks a definitive step in his international career.
