Kaïl Boudache earns praise and Mahrez comparisons at Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais player Kaïl Boudache is receiving significant praise from both his former trainer and his current manager. Johann Louvel, who coached Boudache during his development at OGC Nice, compared the young Algerian international to Riyad Mahrez, noting his above-average explosiveness and one-on-one technical abilities.

Louvel also highlighted Boudache’s evolution, stating that the player has significantly improved his game volume and transitions since leaving Nice. Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca has also expressed approval of the player, specifically praising his courage to take individual initiative with the ball as well as his defensive contributions to the team.
