Kal Penn stars in ‘Trust Me, I’m a Doctor’ trailer

Briarcliff Entertainment has released the first official trailer for ‘Trust Me, I’m a Doctor’, a dark comedy film written and directed by Thane Economou. The movie is based on the memoirs of Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and explores the legal and media frenzy surrounding the 2007 death of American model and television personality Anna Nicole Smith.

Kal Penn stars as Dr. Kapoor, who must fight to clear his name after being implicated in the death of his former patient. The film depicts the intense tabloid era of the early 2000s, featuring police raids, leaked journals, and a high-stakes drug conspiracy trial. The cast also includes Linda Hamilton as defense attorney Ellyn Garofalo and Abbie Cornish as Anna Nicole Smith.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16.
