Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner inspects 290 crore rupee dairy plant
Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner Iqram Sharif inspected the construction of the Dairy Classic ice cream plant, a project involving an investment of approximately 290 crore rupees. Spanning 60 acres, the facility will produce ice cream, frozen desserts, kulfi, and other dairy products, and includes a cold storage unit. The project is expected to create employment for roughly 900 local residents and stimulate regional economic growth by attracting complementary industries.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed progress on other industrial initiatives. He addressed issues regarding industrial plots, instructing officials to identify and cancel plots where industries failed to establish themselves within the stipulated timeframe to reallocate them to new businesses. Additionally, he directed officials to resolve obstacles hindering the establishment of a textile park on 50 acres and inspected the site for a proposed automobile cluster in Kapanur, which currently awaits government approval under the MSCCDP scheme.
