Kalamış Summer Arts Festival Begins July 30 in Istanbul

The Kadıköy Municipality is hosting the International Kalamış Summer Arts Festival from July 30 to August 30 at Kalamış Atatürk Park. The opening event will screen the film “Kırık Bir Aşk Hikâyesi,” a tribute to the late actor Kadir İnanır, and a concert by Suat Suna will follow on July 31. Over the month, the program will include 32 different activities ranging from concerts and acoustic performances to film screenings, with artists such as Aydilge, Ozbi, Evrencan Gündüz, Lalalar, Niyazi Koyuncu, Kerem Görsev, and Gaye Su Akyol & Río Sur taking the stage. The festival will conclude with a special surprise concert on Victory Day, August 30. Kadıköy mayor Mesut Kösedağı called the event a staple of Istanbul’s summer cultural calendar, bringing residents together under the same sky to enjoy music and cinema.
