Kalamata Basket signs Stavros Karoutas and Christos Kanni

Kalamata Basket has announced two significant roster additions as the team prepares for the upcoming National League 2 season.

Stavros Karoutas, a 26-year-old, 1.90m guard, returns to his hometown to join the club. Karoutas arrives following a successful season in the Netherlands with BVA, where he secured a championship and promotion. His previous experience includes stints with Kalamata ’80, Kalamata BC, and Ikaro Neas Smyrni.

Additionally, the club has signed 27-year-old guard Christos Kanni. Standing 1.90m tall, Kanni is capable of playing both the '1' and '2' positions. He brings experience from National League 1 and 2, notably having achieved promotion to the Elite League during his time with Vikos PAS Ioannina. His career also includes playing for Proteas Grevenon and Acheron.
