Kalamata officials inspect progress of municipal sports facilities

The Mayor of Kalamata, accompanied by technical services and deputy mayors, conducted an inspection of the city's sports facilities to monitor the progress of ongoing construction works.

At the Beach Indoor Gymnasium, work on athlete and public restrooms is nearing completion, with the installation of new Taraflex flooring scheduled for late next week. The new Indoor Training Center is also progressing, with parquet flooring installation expected to begin shortly following the completion of restroom and locker room works.

At the Kalamata Municipal Stadium, officials reviewed upcoming improvements to lighting, roofing, and the locker rooms located under the southern stand. In response to requests from coaches, authorities aim to allow student and physical education training to begin on Monday, September 7, between 15:00 and 20:00, provided strict safety protocols are maintained while the site remains a construction zone.
