Kalamata promotes digital nomad tourism at Athens Nomad Fest 2026

The Municipality of Kalamata participated for the third consecutive year in the Athens Nomad Fest 2026 to promote the city as a modern destination for remote work and digital nomads. The event, held on September 19-20, featured a panel titled ‘Greece as a Digital Nomad Hub’ with representatives from the municipality and Marketing Greece.

Data from the festival showed a diverse international presence, with 126 participants representing 31 nationalities. Among the attendees, 66% were entrepreneurs, freelancers, or business founders, and 26% worked in the technology and Artificial Intelligence sectors. Additionally, 42% of visitors stayed in Greece for more than two weeks. Following the main event, 25 digital nomads and remote workers visited Kalamata to explore the city as potential long-term residents and workers.
