Kalamata school vandalized days after major renovations

Unknown individuals have caused extensive damage to the EPAL school complex located at Kalamata Beach, just days after major renovation works were completed. The vandalism targeted various spaces and infrastructure within the facility.

The school complex had recently undergone significant improvements through the ‘Marietta Giannoukou’ program, which included works totaling approximately 916,687 euros. These renovations covered building infrastructure, including safety measures, painting, and roof insulation.

The Municipality of Kalamata has filed a lawsuit following the incident, seeking to investigate the circumstances of the destruction and identify those responsible. The total cost of the damages is expected to be assessed soon.
