Kalamata signs Ilias Chatzitheodori and Axel Ghesan

Greek Super League 2 side PAE Kalamata announced the double signing of left‑back Ilias Chatzitheodori and central defender Axel Ghesan. Chatzitheodori, 28, came through Arsenal’s academy and has previously played for Brentford, Chesterfield, Panathinaikos, Panaitolikos and OFI, winning the Greek Cup twice. Ghesan, 21, is a 1.92 m French centre‑back who joins from Cypriot club Pafos after spells with Nantes, United Nantes, Fulham and Crystal Palace and has represented France at U‑18 level.

The transfers were confirmed by club president George Prassa as part of a squad upgrade ahead of the new season. Kalamata also announced the termination of its contract with veteran forward George Lada as part of the roster reshuffle.
