Following the commercial success of the film DC, Sun Pictures head Kalanithi Maran has gifted brand-new BMW cars to three key team members: director Arun Matheswaran, lead actor Lokesh Kanagaraj, and composer Anirudh Ravichander.

The gesture has sparked significant discussion on social media platforms like X and Reddit, where fans have questioned why actress Wamiqa Gabbi was not included among the recipients. Despite playing a central role as Chandra and receiving praise for her performance, she did not receive a luxury vehicle alongside the director, actor, and composer. While some viewers argued her contribution warranted similar recognition, there is no indication that the decision was intended as a slight.
