Kalashnikov Group delivers large shipment of GSh-301 aircraft cannons

The Kalashnikov Group has delivered a large shipment of GSh-301 30-mm aircraft autocannons to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The company stated that production volumes for these weapons are increasing several-fold annually, with the final batch of the current series expected to be delivered by the end of 2026.

Known informally as the ‘ballerina’ due to its light weight of approximately 50 kilograms and high rate of fire, the GSh-301 can fire between 1,500 and 1,800 rounds per minute. It is utilized by various aircraft models, including the Su-35, Su-30, Su-27, MiG-29, and Su-34 bombers. The weapon is designed to engage a variety of targets, such as drones, helicopters, armored vehicles, and infantry, with an effective firing range of up to 1,800 meters.
