Kalashnikov Group delivers upgraded AK-12 assault rifles to undisclosed client

The Kalashnikov Group has manufactured and delivered a large batch of upgraded 5.45mm AK-12 assault rifles to an unnamed customer. The products successfully passed scheduled inspections, with the client praising both the quality of the weapons and the company’s fulfillment of contractual obligations.

The 2023 version of the AK-12 is the result of extensive refinements based on combat experience in Ukraine. Key improvements focus on usability and reliability. The updated rifle features an ambidextrous fire selector that allows soldiers to change modes without removing their hands from the trigger. The two-round burst mode has been removed in favor of traditional single-shot and automatic modes.

To improve ballistic stability and accuracy, the previously detachable muzzle brake has been replaced with a non-detachable slotted flash suppressor integrated into the barrel. This change prevents the component from loosening during cleaning or impact. Additionally, the rifle includes an improved sighting mechanism with a folding rear sight and varying aperture diameters to assist soldiers in different lighting conditions.
