Kalavryta to host mobile mental health unit and medical exams

The Mobile Mental Health Unit of Achaia Prefecture, part of the Agios Andreas General Hospital of Patras, will be stationed at the Kalavryta Hospital on Tuesday, October 13. In collaboration with the Municipality of Kalavryta and the Kalavryta General Health Center, the unit provides free services to adult patients with mental illness and their families. These services include diagnosis, treatment, monitoring to prevent relapse, home care for those with mobility issues, and family counseling.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the National Public Health Organization (EODY) and local health authorities, is conducting free preventive medical examinations in areas of the Kalavryta Municipality with fewer than 10,000 permanent residents. These examinations are available to all adult citizens regardless of gender or age. Scheduled activities include open sessions in local communities such as Petsakos on October 7 and Vlasia on October 14.
