Kaleiçi Old Town Festival to host 110 events in Antalya

The 11th International Kaleiçi Old Town Festival is scheduled to take place from October 8 to 11 in the historic center of Antalya, Turkey. Organized by the Muratpaşa Municipality, the event will feature 110 activities across 25 different locations within the historic district.

This year’s festival focuses on gastronomy, featuring the ‘Living Kitchens of Ancient Cities’ forum on October 10, which will host delegations from 20 cities representing 15 countries. The festivities also include a traditional parade on October 9 and dance performances involving the Ukrainian Community and the Muratpaşa Municipality Folk Dance Group.

Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal noted that Kaleiçi has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from a seasonal tourist spot into a center that remains active throughout all 12 months of the year. He emphasized the municipality's efforts to preserve the area's international cultural heritage and improve the quality of life for residents despite economic challenges.
