Kalen DeBoer maintains recruiting success at Alabama

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer has successfully secured high-profile recruits despite national media criticism. LSU coach Lane Kiffin revealed during an SEC teleconference that his program came close to recruiting Keelon Russell, a top quarterback prospect from Duncanville High School in Texas.

Russell, who possesses elite physical traits and intelligence, ultimately chose to play for DeBoer at Alabama. The recruitment was highly competitive, involving offers from Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Florida.
