Kaling Village farmers exceed harvest targets

Farmers in Kaling Village, Tasikmadu District, have achieved a harvest that exceeded established targets. This success includes crops such as rice, corn, and various vegetables, contributing to regional food security.

Karanganyar Regent Rober Christanto praised the farmers' hard work during a harvest thanksgiving event. He noted that the achievement was supported by government initiatives, including the provision of superior seeds and agricultural training. The success is expected to boost the local economy by increasing farmer incomes and supporting small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) involved in processing and selling agricultural products.

The local government has committed to addressing ongoing agricultural challenges, such as fertilizer availability, irrigation, pest control, and crop pricing, to maintain productivity and regional food independence.
