Kalinga launches Season of Creation environmental initiative

In Kalinga, Board Member Camilo T. Lammawin Jr. launched the province’s first province-wide Season of Creation at the Kalinga Sports Complex. The month-long initiative was institutionalized through Provincial Ordinance No. 2025-027 to promote sustainable living, climate change mitigation, and community-driven environmental stewardship. Lammawin emphasized that protecting the province’s forests, rivers, and wildlife is a shared responsibility requiring active participation from government agencies and local residents.

Separately, Benguet State University has commenced celebrations for its 110th Foundation Anniversary and the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. The university’s festivities focus on community-centric innovation and partnerships, alongside recognizing outstanding faculty and staff through various excellence awards.
