Kaliningrad to host youth space science festival in 2026

The Kaliningrad region will host a youth space science festival titled ‘Talents for Space: Kaliningrad Space’ from October 4 to 11, 2026. The event is part of a larger federal educational initiative spanning ten Russian regions.

Organized by the Kvantorium children’s technopark alongside various educational and technological partners, the festival aims to introduce students, young professionals, and teachers to careers in space science and engineering. The central program will be held at Gymnasium No. 40, named after Yuri Gagarin.

Beyond engineering, the program highlights space technology's applications in information technology, medicine, environmental studies, design, and management. Activities will be spread across 26 educational sites and will include lectures from scientists, workshops, project competitions, and the use of satellite data to demonstrate how space-based information supports research and practical tasks on Earth.
