Kalle Rovanperä targets single-seater racing career

Two-time WRC champion Kalle Rovanperä has expressed a strong interest in pursuing a career in single-seater racing following a hiatus caused by health issues. After returning to driving recently, the Finnish driver indicated that circuit racing remains his primary goal, though his future plans are not yet finalized.

Rovanperä noted that he intends to consult with Toyota to see if their objectives align with his own ambitions. While he enjoys driving rally cars, he expressed a lack of enthusiasm for the intense schedule of a full WRC season and noted that the upcoming WRC27 vehicles do not seem particularly exciting.

Beyond single-seaters, Rovanperä mentioned an interest in sportscars, specifically GT3 racing at the Nürburgring. He remains open to various possibilities but is currently prioritizing circuit-based opportunities over a return to the full World Rally Championship.
