Kallithea fatal motorcycle crash kills rider, injures pedestrian
A deadly traffic accident occurred late on Thursday night (June 4) at the intersection of Thiseos Avenue and Spartis Road in Kallithea, a suburb of Athens, Greece. A rider of a high‑displacement motorcycle attempted to avoid a crossing pedestrian, lost control and collided at high speed with a parked vehicle. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pedestrian, a woman, was seriously injured with multiple fractures and was transported by an EKAB ambulance to a hospital for treatment. Police, fire crews and emergency medical services secured the site and halted traffic for several hours while the traffic police began an investigation into the causes of the crash.
