Kallithea, Greece – 27‑year‑old motorcyclist killed in fatal crash

A motorcyclist in his late twenties was killed in a severe traffic collision on Thiseos Avenue in Kallithea, a suburb of Athens, in early June. Witnesses said the rider was traveling at high speed when a 71‑year‑old woman stepped onto the pedestrian crossing; the motorcyclist attempted to avoid her, lost control, and struck a fixed obstacle, causing an instant death.
