Kallmünz Summer Piano Festival Returns in August 2026

The Kallmünz Summer Piano Festival will take place from 2 to 10 August 2026 in the Spittelbergkirche of the Bavarian town of Kallmünz. The nine‑day program includes an opening concert, four Young Artist solo recitals, two participant concerts and a series of public masterclasses.

Thirteen pianists from Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada will perform and study under the artistic direction of Canadian pianist Dr. Jarred Dunn, who also leads the masterclasses. Festival director Andrea Buckland highlighted the event’s emphasis on direct interaction between artists and audience.

The festival announced a new partnership with the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals (FCMF). Beginning in 2027, selected FCMF award winners will be invited to perform at Kallmünz, making the festival the first European event to secure an official link with the Canadian federation.
