Kalāmata ’80 bolsters squad with top international signings

Greek women's volleyball club Kalamata ’80 continues its upward trajectory in the national Volley League and European competitions, having pursued a systematic transfer strategy over the summer.

The team added Russian opposite Roman Zos, Egyptian opposite Abdelrahman Elhosiny (former Al Ahly and national‑team MVP), and reinforced the roster with Greek middle blocker Thanos Archontis and Mexican opposite Axel Tegies Rodriguez. A planned signing of Croatian opposite Tino Hanzic was cancelled after he suffered a serious injury with his national team, prompting the club to act quickly to fill the gap.
