Kalshi Sets Record Weekly Volume and Mulls IPO as Revenue Tops $2 Billion
Kalshi reported a weekly notional trading volume of $7.49 billion for the period June 15‑20, surpassing its previous record and putting the platform on track for an $8 billion‑plus week as the FIFA World Cup and UFC events drive activity. The record week contributed to a combined $10.9 billion in notional volume for Kalshi and rival Polymarket.
The fintech company also disclosed that its annualized revenue has exceeded $2 billion, up three‑fold from late 2025, and its annualized trading volume grew from $52 billion to $178 billion over the past year. With more than 90 % of U.S. prediction‑market activity now on Kalshi, the firm is in early discussions with investment banks about an initial public offering, targeting a potential listing in late 2027 or 2028. The talks follow a recent $1 billion Series F financing at a $22 billion valuation.
