Kalypso Media releases Sudden Strike 5: France Road to Liberation DLC

Kalypso Media and developer Kite Games announced the launch of the Sudden Strike 5 DLC “France: Road to Liberation” on 30 July 2026. The expansion is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and PlayStation 5. A 10 % launch discount runs on Steam and the Epic Games Store until 6 August 2026, while the Kalypso Store offers a 20 % special discount from 30 July to 1 September to mark Kalypso Media’s 20th anniversary.

The DLC adds six new missions that recreate the August 1944 Operation Dragoon campaign. Players experience three Allied missions, advancing from Camel Beach to liberate Toulon and capture Hill 300, followed by three Axis missions defending collapsing lines and covering a retreat. The new French commander Jean de Lattre de Tassigny introduces a mobility‑focused playstyle, supported by two new doctrine cards, “Maquis Mobilization” and “Crew Vehicle Training”. Over six new unit types join the battlefield, including the USS Edison destroyer, the German remote‑controlled SdKfz. 302 Goliath, and French infantry and amphibious vehicles. The DLC is priced at $14.99/€14.99/£12.99.
