Kam Air to increase Kabul-Islamabad flight frequency to daily service
Afghan airline Kam Air has announced an expansion of its operations between Kabul and Islamabad. Starting November 1, 2026, the airline will increase flight frequency to seven days a week, providing daily connectivity between the two capitals.
This expansion follows a September 2026 interline cooperation agreement between Kam Air and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The partnership is designed to improve international travel connections, allowing passengers to book single-ticket journeys from Kabul through Islamabad to destinations such as Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with further plans to extend connectivity to other Gulf regions.
The direct flight covers an aerial distance of approximately 350 to 352 kilometres and typically takes between one hour and one hour and ten minutes. The increased frequency aims to support business travellers, families, and overseas workers traveling between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
