Kamala Harris accuses GOP of cheating ahead of midterms
Former Vice President Kamala Harris has accused the Republican Party of “cheating” in an effort to influence the upcoming midterm elections. Speaking on Megan Rapinoe’s podcast, “What Are You Like?”, Harris claimed that Republicans are redrawing electoral lines and implementing measures to make voting more difficult to suppress the power of the electorate.
Harris stated that her current political focus is dedicated to helping Democrats regain control of the House and the Senate to restore balance to the government. When asked about a potential 2028 presidential run, she noted that she has not made a decision, emphasizing that the outcome of the 2026 midterms is the immediate priority.
The Republican National Committee responded to these allegations, defending their focus on election integrity. Ally Triolo, the RNC election integrity communications director, stated that measures such as voter ID and proof of citizenship are “common sense” and suggested that Democrats are unable to win elections without attempting to circumvent the system.
