Kamba Estate redevelopment to feature 130 stremmata of green space and culture

The redevelopment plan for the historic Kamba Estate, known as Cambas Gardens, has been presented to the Pallini Municipal Council. The project aims to transform the area into a multi-functional hub combining modern workspaces with significant public amenities.

According to the Environmental Impact Study, approximately 130 stremmata (roughly 32 acres) owned by the Municipality of Pallini will be dedicated to public use. This includes 16 outdoor sports facilities covering 7,000 square meters, playgrounds, event squares, an outdoor gym, and a network of walking and running paths. The plan also includes the planting of 1,655 new trees and the creation of organic vineyards and olive groves to preserve the area's historical character.

A central component of the project is the restoration and repurposing of the historic Kamba Winery as a cultural center, with a total construction area of 8,200 square meters, alongside the restoration of the old Kanza Railway Station. The broader development area covers approximately 315 stremmata. To support the site, the plan provides for 2,056 parking spaces, over half of which will be underground, and emphasizes accessibility via the Paiania-Kanza station.
