Kameoka opens textile shop in 100-year-old traditional house

A new shop, ‘Sekai Senshoku Tsukikage’, has opened in a 100-year-old traditional folk house (kominka) in Hozucho, Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture.

The establishment features a collection of rare textiles and dyed goods from various regions across the world, including India and other parts of Asia. The shop was founded by a woman who relocated to the area and utilizes her expertise from working at specialized museums to curate and exhibit these items.
