KAMİAD engages Turkish authorities to resolve public contractor issues

The Association of Public Contractors and Businesspeople (KAMİAD) has launched a series of initiatives to address the challenges faced by public contractors in Turkey. The association is engaging in high-level discussions with key government institutions to propose solutions for sector-wide issues.

KAMİAD has joined the Public Procurement Authority’s Construction Works Working Group. This move allows the association to directly present concerns regarding tender processes, qualification criteria, work experience documentation, and contract management to decision-makers. The goal is to foster a more competitive and sustainable public procurement system.

Additionally, KAMİAD met with the Social Security Institution (SGK) and its President, Yunus Elitaş, to discuss difficulties related to social security legislation and field applications. The association also held meetings with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, specifically with General Director of Professional Services Banu Aslan, to discuss technical and administrative hurdles in the construction sector.
